Welcome to Day 1 of The Cycle, a 10-day email adventure.
I’m popping into your inbox every day for the next 10 days to talk to you about the building block numbers of 1-9, as well as our collective yearly cycle number, 10.
Our main directive in 2026 is to know thyself, so what better way to spin in the ouroboros of as above, so below than to take a trip together, and alone, through the cycle?
As I shared in yesterday’s introduction, we are going to embody number energies, and feel our way through a cycle. These words—embody, feel through—are intentional choices, hand delivered by the numbers, themselves. They want to be experienced.
I am very aware that this could be inaccessible and/or confronting. The first thing the numbers, the cycle, and the next 10 days of information, are all going to ask of us is presence. They want our focus, if only for a moment.
If that is not something you can give to yourself and these numbers right now, that is okay! This is evergreen information. You can do this work whenever you want. You can return to these numbers, and to this information, whenever you have time. Plus, part of the initial creative download of this series was to turn it into a digital zine, so it will be there for you when you’re more available and ready.
But if you want to get to this now, or you need a little more convincing… I have chosen these dates with intention!
Today is June 21, 2026, which is a numerological 19/10/1 day. It is the summer solstice! It is the longest day of the year, meaning we have the most time to start something new.
Taking time out of our day to touch in with 1 energy will then allow us to go out and approach the day with new knowledge and awareness. Perhaps we’ll see opportunities and tensions we would not have before attributed to being in a 1 day. It's this awareness that can help us begin to observe new patterns, as well as make intentional changes.
If there is one thing my Clinical Psychology program has instilled in me, it’s that it takes a combination of awareness and action to create intentional change. We have to have both clarity and courage to get what we want, but also what we need. To have the experiences we need to have in order to be living, breathing, blinking, loving, human beings on this planet, who are unafraid, in 2026, to still claim some kind of life.
It’s with positive energy, and cautious optimism, that we meet the number one.
THANK YOU FOR READING COMMON DENOMINATORS
I want to grow this space, so if you’re liking what you’re reading, please consider sharing it with a friend or five! I’m also tending to this goal through 1-on-1 numerology readings, new shop offerings, and other upcoming goodies.
I’m also going to be sending updates of my own process to my paid pals, as well as starting a thread in The Commons for those who wish to share. So, if you do want to engage in the present-tense, you’re welcomed to upgrade your subscription here to read and join!

ONE (1)
We begin.
Here, at the start, take a deep breath, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Plant your feet on the floor, for it's this connection between physical bodies that allows for the good stuff to start.
The bad stuff too.
It's all part of the Whole.
One is both all-powerful and fragile. At its core lies a paradox of singularity and multiplicity. It asks us to be brave, and to do it anyway, to take one step with all of the hope and fire of taking more.
As exciting as it can be to begin something, it can be equally as disappointing to to be at the beginning. To stare at the blank page, the empty canvas, the before picture, the huge pile of whatever it is that needs organizing. It can be humbling to go to the first day of school, or the first day of a new job. It can be scary to go to new places, and meet new people. To have to learn new routines, build new habits, form new relationships, and acquire new skills.
All of these elements factor into why we resist new things.
When considering one (1) energy, we need to get way smaller than we could have ever, ever imagined.
Of all the numbers, we know the number one the least. This is because it lasts the least amount of time, and it happens on such a small scale that we don't even notice it happening.
People who have a uterus are not aware of the first steps of pregnancy. We don't see, with our eyes, the moment the seed sprouts, because it's buried so far underneath the ground, and packed in dirt. We usually blink and miss the first few frames of any movie or television show. We are too distracted by trying to get the Bluetooth connected, and the volume up in the car, to hear the first notes of the song.
One, in the everyday, gets missed. Walked over, talked over, and yet, it is so mighty.
It is such a miracle. It is such a blip.
One is so small! It's so unfathomably small. We don't even know how to integrate it. But that’s okay because integration is not the domain of the number one.
The experience of the number one flashes through us. One energy is a jolt of electricity coursing through your body. It's pure feeling. And then, it's over.
And then, and then, and then...
Number one is so unlikely.
And yet, and yet, and yet.
One is the vessel. One is The Monad. It’s the spiritual Whole. One energy at its largest, the all encompassing. When we are embodied, when we are in our bodies, in the present moment, that’s when we’re the most available, and able to connect with the biggest possibilities of the number one.
One asks for us to be available. It doesn't ask for our focus. It asks us to be available.
PROMPT: When you think about being available, what happens in your body? What passes through you?
The One and the All.
In the West, it's baked into our cake that every man is an island. We uplift concepts of independence and practices of rugged individualism. Perhaps it's not the best for survival, or the truest picture of our nature, but one energy is absolutely part of us, and we do need to know ourselves.
Knowing ourselves is what begets all of the rest.
One energy shows us how valuable it is to understand and be ourselves. It is so hard to be in one's own energy these days.
And yet, it can be hard to create space.
PRACTICAL MAGIC: Today, call all of your energy back to you. That's it. Just the one thing: Call all of your energy back to you. (Don’t worry about it not being enough—tomorrow has a really important next step to this process!) This practice might leave you feeling a little too full. Like, very, very full. That's okay. Breathe. You can sit and simply feel your energy coming back to you.
One is positive energy. It's creative energy turned inward. It is the experience of being the creator as much as the one who is created. It is sitting in a space of integration of all senses of self, and all versions of identity. All fractals of reality.
One is the experience of being.
We're not doing yet…
Today is for being.
One (1) through the Senses
One (1) looks like opening your eyes to a new day, taking your first step, having an idea, picking up your proverbial pen, writing down one word, the brilliant flash of blue within otherwise gray labradorite, a light bulb turning on, a mouth opening
One (1) smells like flint, camphor, peppermint, pine, gunpowder, sunscreen
One (1) tastes like the world’s wispiest cotton candy, the burn after taking a shot of hard liquor, apple pie on the Fourth of July, a steaming pot of chili at a potluck
One (1) feels like dropping into center during meditation, the sting of hot oil as it pops out of the pan, the sharp point of polished clear quartz, the rush of adrenaline coursing through you
One (1) sounds like silence, the clear ring of a bell, the strike of a match, the snap of your fingers, an alarm clock, a car honk, an explosion, the roar of a crowd
One (1) asks questions like When do you feel most like yourself? How long can you sit in discomfort? What is at the root of your fear of starting? How can you release just 1% of that fear in order to begin?
CREATIVE CYCLING: This is the day you begin. This is not the day you finish. Jot down every idea you have today, good, bad, ugly, and otherwise. Try a new medium. Close your eyes and imagine yourself in the setting of your story; inhabit your own world. Write 1, 10, 100, or 1,000 words. Drink water. Sew 1, 10, 100, or 1,000 stitches. Take a shower or a nap and see what shows up.
One (1) on the Scale
One (1) Day: Write down one idea, big, small, inconsequential, or otherwise.
One (1) Week: Set one practical goal and achieve it by week’s end.
One (1) Month: Do something new (or the same new-to-you thing) every day for all 28-31 days, respectively.
One (1) Year: If your new beginning is clear, move forward in its direction with chutzpah. If your new beginning is less clear, or not accessible or available (yet), plant one seed, or take one step towards it with intention.
PROMPT: You don't have to be anywhere very long for it to make an impact, but brain science tells us the negative experiences stick way easier than the positive. Today, rack up as many positive experiences of being as you can. How many moments can you spend just being in whatever space makes you feel really good? You can you start with just just one second, and then string some more seconds along. But make sure you really enjoy that second, okay?
Until tomorrow, just be.
I’d love to hear from you as we go, especially if you have ideas to make our journey even juicier! And if you enjoy what you’re reading, please share it with a friend or five. I’m also going to be sharing excerpts on my Instagram, @beescolnick. Engagement and shares are appreciated there too, but I understand it’s not a platform for everyone. (I’m doing an experiment of my own right now and it’s been telling.)
xx bee
PS. I’m doing 1-on-1 numerology readings until the end of June! Book now - I’d love to see you in a Zoom room!
