That idea quickly grew legs. I rushed to an open notebook—of which I have many lying around for just this occasion—and began to take notes.

I’m going to do it alongside everyone, but publicly for my paid pals.

Then, I’ll make a digital zine and make it available for free as a lead magnet.

(That last one begets a confession: I want to grow this space, and I want to do it in the next 20 weeks. I’m also tending to this goal through 1-on-1 numerology readings, new shop offerings, and other upcoming goodies.)

Then, I took the idea to The Commons Discord server, which is one of my very favorite places on the internet, saying:

i think i just downloaded a whole email series for june 21-30 on the cycle. so each day, for 10 days, we'll sit with a number from 1-10: explore them, divine with them, ask questions of them (& ourselves). it'll be both poetic & practical. i'll also be keeping a personal diary of this work & sending it out to just y'all/paid pals. if that sounds rad to you, is there anything that comes to heart or mind that would make it really juicy & meaningful to you?

The responses were incredible because my buds are the best!

One wanted to know about the life cycle of a creative work—which has already inspired the sharing of my process, as this is a project progressing in front of our very eyes. Another asked about scales, and how we can think about these numbers on a daily/weekly/yearly basis?

“I’m a slut for a prompt of any kind. Give me a box to burst out of,” said a beloved who is not in SM*T CL*B, but should be.

Next, I asked the numbers how they want to show up and what they want to say.

Having to start somewhere, I jotted down some notes on the number 1. But it was in the shower where I finally quieted down enough to hear the whispers of how to work with them right now.

The numbers—and their cycle—want to be embodied. Felt, through our senses, and then some.

It’s not enough to simply think about them anymore, or try and intellectually map them over the annual planners in our minds. In order to take the next step, and integrate this understanding of the universe into our lives, we must experience them.

Our main directive this year is to know thyself, so what better way to spin in the ouroboros of as above, so below than to take a trip together, and alone, through the cycle?
