April is the fourth month of the year, so in a 10/1 year, we’re looking at a 14/5 overall month.
In Call Your Coven’s latest episode, “April 2026: Acting Aspirationally,” I share about pulling Temperance (the 14th card of the Major Arcana), from Moonlight’s Internet Lore Tarot, for someone in The Soup Discord server. This particular Temperance says I am finally rested. Last month, in March, we talked about getting good at what you practice, and I don’t know about you, but I practice saying, “I am so tired,” more than I say, “I am finally rested.”
14/5 is generative. It’s art and creation and divine intervention. It’s that sought-after flow state, that blissful merger with everything that swirls and twirls and feels like Heaven on Earth. That said, April of 2026 has both sturdy 4 energy and frazzled 5 energy, so we are being asked to stay the course. Everything is a process, everything is building. 14/5 energy wants us to embrace the moments of stagnancy or pause that are promised, and not necessarily indicative of not making progress.
So we’re not ruining our chances or rushing ourselves in April, but we are practicing slightly more positive or more encouraging versions of our mantras…

If they need to be replaced altogether, start putting together a practical plan. Today is not a good day for harsh criticisms and judgements. In moments of contraction, try box breathing.

May this dark night help you to sit in the mystery of your mastery. Sometimes, the practical and the phenomenal simply come together to make something special. You might not even need to know how the sausage gets made as long as you can keep creating it. Who are you to doubt your divine construction? While each new moon brings an opportunity to plant seeds of disembodied possibility, this one might be better used by setting an intention of embodied prevalence. Start by making a list of your most miraculous attributes. Then, read it to yourself until you can recite it from memory.
